At first glance, this appears to be a James Dean, Morrisey, or Johnny Cash-inspired pompadour. Ample height and tons of shine aren’t the only attention-getting features of this look. The sides and back are cut short and extra close above the ear and at sideburns for a clean cut finish.
For the vintage look use the original Layrite Deluxe Pomade or for something lighter try American Crew Forming Cream for medium hold and medium shine or American Crew Grooming Cream for high hold and high shine.
Now for the unique part of this men’s hairstyle. A new trend for 2014 is variations on undercut. Hair is shaved short at the temple and fades into longer hair at the back. This still leaves a defined side part and makes for a unique and stylish look. Regular trims are the key to keeping this style up so be sure to visit your barber often.
